Aqua Java Decibel, Kankurgachi

This probably is the newest Aqua Java outlet in the city. Though not really a very big fan of veg-only food outlets, couldn't really avoid the temptation when invited for a evening adda session with fellow foodies. This outlet is run by the very cordial energetic young couple Mr. Ankit & Mrs. Sonia Sureka. Location wise it is quite easy to reach from Kankurgachi Pantaloons.
Located on CIT road scheme 6M, the cafe is located in the first floor of the building.

On Reaching the cafe, we were given a guided tour of the property by Mr. Ankit himself.
The main seating area has capacity to seat about 25 people. It also has a small stage area with karaoke facility on weekdays & live performance on weekends.
There also is a corner with Playstation console for the people who'd rather like a game with their coffee.
A small section also serves the ones looking for sheesha.
The balcony has been exclusively designed for couples, with around 6 tables which can accomodate two each.
Apart from these there are two rooms intended for private parties.
All in all the place can accomodate about 65-70 people. The whole cafe can be booked for birthday/bachelor parties. They even arrange for temporary liquor licence on demand. One can also book the private room without any extra charge, just make sure to have the bill amount over 5000/-.
Coming to the ambiance, as the name 'Decibel' suggests, this particular outlet has been decorated with the theme of music. From the Hawaiian & electric guitars in the karaoke area to the walkman/gramophone/casette player on display. From the innumerable band posters on the wall to the table mats with pictures of vinyl discs everything just screams out that you are in a music themed hangout place. Also note that the outlet is open untill 2 a.m. in the morning, can be a great place for late night adda sessions.

[a bluish green violin on the display, will definitely remind you of the blue horn from HIMYM]

Coming to the food, we went with the foods suggested by Mr. Ankit himself, while ordering the drinks on our own.
I started off with a standard Cappuccino which was average.

I also tried a sip or two from Mojito Mint & Lime Ice. The mojito mint failed to impress. The lime Ice was a letdown too. I would rather prefer a Fresh lime soda. Thank you.

Coming to the food, We had
Homemade Ricotta & spinach cannelloni.

Which was, in one word Awesome! A must try for people who love pasta in white sauce.

Chefs choice pizza

Chefs choice pizza
As I already mentioned I ain't a big fan of veggies. However this thin crust pizza tasted superb. Not for one moment would it let me remember that pizza is generally served with meat!
The traditional ratatouille

The traditional ratatouille
Well, I had lot of expectation from this one. One can't forget that Pixar has a blockbuster named after this dish. But to say the truth the taste's nothing special.
Spiked nachos

Spiked nachos
The spiked Nachos were quite flavorful, surely the go to snack for casual hangouts.

We ended the eve with choco lava cake , which stole the show. Having tried out this specific item from a no. of outlets, I can safely say this one's among the best. Add to that the fact that it comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Overall this was a nice experience. Not all drinks were good, atleast the ones I tried didn't impress me. But the other foodies found the mocha magic, passion fruit & blueberry soda to be good. The food was good specially the pizza, canolini & choco lava cake. Loking forward to visit again to try out other items from the menu. Cheers.
